Note the following definitions for four-sided figures.
- square (four equal length sides, opposite sides parallel, and all right angles)
- rectangle (two pairs of equal length sides, opposite sides parallel, and all right angles)
- parallelogram (two pairs of equal length sides, opposite sides parallel)
- trapezoid (only one pair of parallel sides)
- quadrilateral (can have four different sides and no pair of sides parallel)
